Pickle Travelers • Your Privacy

Privacy Policy

How we handle information when you explore Pickle Travelers, join our traveler waitlist, or express interest in becoming a partner club.

Our current stage

Pickle Travelers is an early-stage project exploring interest in a community for traveling pickleball players and potential partner clubs in the United States.

Our current forms collect expressions of interest. Joining the traveler waitlist or submitting a club inquiry does not require payment and does not activate a paid membership or establish a club partnership.

1. About Pickle Travelers and this policy

Pickle Travelers is a project led by Andrew Ecker. In this policy, “Pickle Travelers,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Andrew Ecker and the authorized team supporting this project.

This policy explains our handling of personal information through pickletravelers.com, our traveler waitlist and partner-club interest forms, and related communications.

It describes the current interest-gathering stage of the project. If we introduce paid memberships, bookings, member profiles, or other services, we will review and update the relevant privacy disclosures before using personal information for materially different purposes.

2. Information we collect

Traveler waitlist information

When you join our traveler waitlist, we collect the information you submit, including your name and email address. Depending on the fields available, you may also choose to provide your phone number, region, travel destinations, travel preferences, or pickleball skill level.

Partner-club inquiry information

When you express interest on behalf of a club, we collect the club name, contact person's name, email address, location, and any other information you provide. This may include a phone number, website, booking platform, information about visiting-player access, and partnership interests.

Messages and correspondence

We collect information you provide when you email us, ask questions, request assistance, or send feedback.

Submission and follow-up records

We maintain records associated with submissions and communications, such as the form submitted, submission timing, communication preferences, lead source where available, and internal follow-up status.

Technical information

Technical information associated with visiting the website, using embedded forms, or receiving emails is addressed in Section 5. The information involved depends on the configuration of the website and supporting services.

Information you should not submit

Please do not include payment card information, passwords, government identification documents, medical records, or other sensitive information in our interest forms or ordinary email correspondence.

Required fields are identified on each form. Optional fields may be left blank. If you provide another person's contact information, please do so only with appropriate permission.

3. How we use information

We use information collected for the project to:

  • Record and manage traveler waitlist registrations.
  • Review and respond to potential partner-club inquiries.
  • Send submission confirmations and respond to questions.
  • Provide relevant project, launch, and partnership updates, consistent with communication preferences and applicable requirements.
  • Understand traveler interests and club needs when evaluating potential destinations, partnerships, and services.
  • Maintain organized contact records and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
  • Identify duplicate or suspicious submissions and address technical issues.
  • Respond to privacy requests and meet applicable legal obligations.

Optional preference information helps us understand interest in the project. It does not guarantee that a particular destination, discount, club, or membership benefit will become available.

4. Access to and sharing of information

Project team

We treat form submissions and contact records as private project information. Access is intended for authorized team members who need it to administer the waitlist, manage club inquiries, or support the website and communications.

Service providers

We use Elite360 and the technology providers supporting its functions to operate forms, maintain contact records, manage workflows, and send communications. These services process information as part of providing those functions.

Keeping submissions private does not mean they are stored or processed without service providers. Our website, contact-management, and communication systems rely on third-party technology.

Clubs and other organizations

During the current interest-gathering stage, we do not provide traveler or club-interest submissions to partner clubs or unrelated businesses for their own marketing, and we do not publish those submissions publicly.

We do not sell traveler or club-interest contact lists. If we later introduce club introductions, public listings, or other information-sharing features, we will explain the relevant practices and obtain permission where required before introducing that sharing.

Legal circumstances

We may disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or where legally permitted and reasonably necessary to address fraud, misuse, security concerns, or threats to the rights or safety of individuals.

5. Cookies, technical data, and tracking

Our website and embedded services may use cookies, browser storage, server logs, or similar technologies to support website and form functions.

We plan to introduce analytics or advertising measurement tools in the future. Those plans do not mean that those tools are currently active.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Restricting certain cookies may affect website or form functionality. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily control every tracking technology.

Before enabling new tracking tools, we will update the relevant disclosures and implement consent or opt-out mechanisms where required. This policy itself does not enable, disable, or control tracking technologies.

6. Communications and preferences

After you submit a form, we may send an email confirming receipt and follow up about your registration or inquiry. We may also send relevant Pickle Travelers updates, consistent with the choices presented to you and applicable requirements.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting [email protected].

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from answering a request you initiate or sending a necessary nonmarketing notice.

Providing a phone number or reading this policy does not, by itself, constitute consent to automated marketing calls or text messages. Any future messaging program will require its own applicable disclosures and consent process.

A Privacy Policy acknowledgment is separate from a choice to receive marketing communications.

7. How long information is retained

We currently retain traveler and club-interest records to manage the project, maintain the waitlist, respond to inquiries, and coordinate follow-up.

You may contact us to request removal from the waitlist or deletion of your personal information. We will assess and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

Some limited information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, address disputes, or respect a request not to receive marketing. For example, an email address may be retained on a suppression list to prevent further marketing messages.

8. Information security

We handle submissions through our website and contact-management services and intend access to be limited to authorized project personnel and supporting service providers.

No website, email system, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive documents or confidential financial information through our interest forms or ordinary email.

If you believe information submitted to Pickle Travelers has been misused or accessed improperly, contact us promptly using the email address below.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You may:

  • Choose not to complete optional form fields.
  • Request correction of inaccurate contact information.
  • Ask to be removed from the traveler waitlist.
  • Withdraw a club-interest inquiry.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails.
  • Contact us to request access to or deletion of personal information associated with your submission.

Depending on your state of residence and which laws apply to the project, you may have additional rights concerning your personal information. These may include obtaining a copy, correcting or deleting information, or opting out of certain uses.

To submit a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Tell us which email address you used and describe your request. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority to make the request. Our response will reflect applicable legal requirements and any permitted exceptions.

10. Where information is processed

Pickle Travelers is intended for an audience in the United States. Our project support team includes personnel in the Philippines, who may access information when performing authorized administrative tasks.

Information may also be processed in the locations where our technology providers operate. A United States audience does not mean that all information is stored or accessed exclusively within the United States.

11. Intended audience and children’s privacy

Our waitlist and club-interest forms are intended for adults in the United States who have reached the age of majority in their state of residence. They are not intended for children.

Please do not submit a child's personal information through these forms. Club representatives should submit their own professional contact details rather than information about junior players.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to remove information we should not retain.

12. External websites and services

Our website may contain links to club websites, social media pages, or other third-party services. When you visit those services, their own privacy policies and terms apply.

We do not control the independent information practices of other organizations. Please review their policies before submitting information to them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project develops or our information practices change. We will post the revised version on this page and update its effective date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making relevant changes.

Future paid memberships, bookings, club introductions, or advertising features may require additional disclosures and terms before they become available.
